Who We Are

SBC (Sixth Baptist Church) is a Bible Believing Christ Centered Church existing with no exceptions to introduce and see people encounter the incredible life that God offers through Jesus Christ.

It starts with an introduction of Christ growing into a relationship with Him and spills over into other areas of life: career, parenting, marriage, relationships (dating) recreation and more.

We are the friendly church on the corner of Addison St. and Idlewood Rd. in the city of Richmond VA.  Our objective is to praise God and to introduce Christ to everyone.

Our Vision

The Sixth Baptist Church's vision includes being a force of evangelism in the city through holistic outreach providing a worship experience which is multi-ethnic and relevant, equipping people to live a life of intimacy with God, empowering people to be kingdom laborers, and actively engaging in spiritual warfare against injustices and strongholds which keep people and communities from being whole.

The Sixth Baptist Church's mission statement is to bring people to Jesus and membership in his family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life’s mission in the world in order to magnify God’s name.
